With all the foreboding warnings these days about the damage ultra-violet rays can do to your skin, having some fun in the sun can inspire some fretful feelings.  Powerful UVA and UVB rays not only increase your chances of skin cancer, but they also increase your potential of turning the same color as Snooki.  Put your mind at ease and cover up exposed skin with one of these protectants:

Neutrogena Wet Skin Sunblock – $8.99 to $10.99 – Neutrogena’s line of waterproof sunblock comes in SPF 30, 50 or 80 and is one of your best bets for water activities. Wet Skin products are all spray-on, so application is much quicker and less messy than lotions. Plus, lifeguards even vouch for Neutrogena’s claim that it is resistant to pool/sea water, humidity and sweat. Whether you're headed for the diving board or out on a jet ski, just spray this on before you go and don't let the worry of sunburn interrupt your fun.

Bullfrog Sunblock – $6.99 to $10.99 – Another fantastic waterproof option and a favorite of surfers is Bullfrog sunblock.  For serious water sports, go with Bullfrog’s new Water Armour Sport and rest assured that you’ll stay protected from UVA/UVB rays no matter how many times you wipe out. Land lovers will find a new staple in Bullfrog’s Mosquito Coast sunblock–great for warding off the flies while hiking, golfing or enjoying a day-time cookout.

Vertra Translucent Face Stick – $20.95 – If you’re sensitive to breakouts, spraying or lathering on sunscreen may not be the best idea.  Luckily, Vertra offers face-specific sunscreen so you don’t have to worry about clogged pores on top of skin-aging UVA rays.  Face Sticks are SPF 50 and go on just like make-up.  Apply this before laying out in the sun and relish in the clear skies of today–and the clear complexion of tomorrow.

Shiseido Urban Environment UV Protection Cream (Face/Body) – $30 – If you’re really serious about protecting your skin against the premature aging caused by ultra-violet rays, then go for Shiseido Urban Environment UV Protection Cream for both face and body.  This fast-absorbing cream is SPF 55 and not only shields and protects skin from the sun, but also hydrates and helps to smooth out fine lines on the face.
